ROOTS OF REBIRTH

This design was inspired by a butterfly's metamorphosis. The garments back depicts the early phases of the cycle, whereas the front is the later stages, when the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. In many respects, the transformation of a butterfly has deep metaphorical meaning for human life. From egg to adult, a butterfly's life cycle represents the interdependence of all living things. The use of repetition conveys the notion that life is an endless cycle of development, transformation, and renewal.
